Since this is my first entry, I'll explain a few things about myself. Basically,   -I'm a 14 year old girl from Canada. (For you americans, that's the big landmass just above you. J/K!) Here's some info:

-I live with my parents, my brother and my three cats
-I use my 7100/66 PPC Macintosh (with OS9) daily. In fact, contstantly... while I'm at home
-Although I really don't like to dicriminate, I'd have to say that orange is my favorite colour.
-I am totally pro multi-cultural, and I belive that everyone should have the right to chose how they lead their life, so long as it does not harm any one else.
-I'm vegetarian (lacto-ovo; whihc means I do eat dairy, eggs, ect)
  -I LOVE soccer
-My birthday is June 6 1985
-I am aetheist (I do not follow any religion)
  -I am a Trekkie
-I am straight (though I have no problem what-so-ever with gays, bi's, ect.)
-My favorite food is a sour dough bagle with spinach and feta cream cheese, all from the Great Canadian Bagel Company
-My favorite pair of jeans is bright blue. They are kind of short and tight, but   -I love them none the less.

So.... here's what's going on in my life....

A while ago (Maybe a week or so) I was talking to MZ, my friend who goes to a different school, and she was telling me about this guy she knows (DL). He seemed really weird (something I like in a guy!), so I asked her to get his e-mail for me. So she did, and we e-mailed each other back and forth a few times, and I really liked him. So I suggested we meet somewhere. MZ thought it would be a good idea for all three of us to go to the local Dairy Queen, and he agreed. So, I met him Sunday afternoon, and I was totally blown away. We have soooo much in common with each other, and he was really fun to be around. After MZ left, and DL and I were walking home, and he turned left and I contnued going straight. After a few steps, I turned back and said

"So, do you want to go out sometime?"

And then he said

"Umm... yeah, sure. I suppose we should phone each other... e-mail... get in touch... to make plans."

So, at first, before I thought about it, I was just eleated. I was humming, and singing, and laughing, and smiling incesently. THEN, I was thinking that maybe I "jumped" him. You know, caught him off-guard. Like that was the first thing that came to mind. Oh! I'm riddled with doubt! I really think I need more confidewnce in my self. It's just that I don't have any experence in dating and stuff like that. I don't know what guys usually do!!! <i need a shrink>

So this evening I called him, figuring I'd just drop it into the conversation:
Me: Hi, is DL there?
DL: Yeah, hi?
Me: Hi, it's G.
DL: Oh, hi
Me: So, um, whacha doing?
DL: Nothing much.
Me: So, do you wanna talk? I just feel like talking.
DL: Actually I'm in the middle of doing a bunch of homework.
Me: Oh, sorry. That's why I asked you if you were doing something. So you could tell me if you were.
DL: Oh, yeah, OK. Me: Well, sorry, OK, well, bye. DL: Bye.

So, was he lying because he doesn't like me, or because he's not a phone person, or does he actually have homework? I can't decide. I supposed I shoud probably go with the latter, but, oh! I don't know. I'm confused!!!! I asked MZ to ask him what he thinks of me at school tomorrow.

Additionally, he hasn't answered the e-mail I sent him sunday, but he does take a couple of days sometimes anyways. Well, I'll see what develops tomorrow.
